Programme Summary
Temporary power, access lifts, and site support for high-rise works in the Burj Khalifa / Downtown Dubai precinct.
Mobilisation Narrative
Works around the Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai precinct demand disciplined temporary power, reach equipment, and logistics that respect live public realm, hotel interfaces, and tower operations. FM Rental supplied diesel generators with distribution boards and cabling for fit-out and MEP packages, boom and scissor lifts for facade and plant-room access, and lighting for overnight work windows when guest and retail zones stayed open.
Capacity and placement were agreed with the site electrical engineer so exhaust, cable routes, and machine footprints stayed clear of emergency egress and valet corridors. Fuel containment and spill response followed the precinct HSE file; service response targets were written into weekly programme reviews during peak overnight shifts.
Heat derating and summer load assumptions were documented for consultant review on feeder and backup sets. When the programme extended across successive fit-out floors, hire amendments kept inducted serial numbers on site so access and power records stayed continuous for the main contractor’s QA pack.
